Dr. Andre Hall is an OBGYN for Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht of Advantia and is currently practicing at all locations—Damascus, Frederick, Gaithersburg, and Rockville. To his role, he brings a wealth of experience and education, including a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine and residency training at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Hall is deeply passionate about women’s healthcare, with a special interest in high-risk pregnancies, contraception, and caring for underserved populations.

What led you to become an OBGYN?

What led me to join this profession was my desire to help families as a whole. I firmly believe that the best way to help a family become healthy and stay healthy is through the mom. I’m a firm believer that moms are the backbone of all families. They allow things to happen, they are the impetus behind all of healthcare within that family—that is what led me to this profession.

What women’s care do you specialize in?

I am an OBGYN generalist, however, I do have passions. My passions surround managing high-risk pregnancies, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, and minimally invasive procedures.

If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?

If I were a superhero, the power that I would desire the most is the ability to control and manipulate all matter. I think with that power, you’re able to do anything. You can fly, you can breathe, water, fire…it makes no difference!

Where is your favorite place that you have traveled to?

My favorite place to travel is actually my parents’ hometown in Jamaica. I absolutely love to go back there. It’s a place that’s very homey. It’s very lovely. It’s my go-to place.
