Dr. Amani Kwaider is an OBGYN for Reiter, Hill & Johnson of Advantia and is currently practicing at the Chevy Chase, Falls Church, and Washington, D.C. locations. To her role, Dr. Kwaider brings not only years of medical expertise but also a compassionate touch and comprehensive care philosophy.

Delivering patient-centered care and supporting women through all phases of their health journey is at the core of what Dr. Kwaider does. She is available to meet with patients about any general OBGYN concerns, including contraception counseling and pregnancy care. She is also fluent in Arabic and welcomes patients who feel more comfortable discussing their women’s health concerns in the language.

What led you to become an OBGYN?

During medical school, I was fascinated by how OBGYNs supported women through the incredible experience of childbirth. Witnessing a new life entering the world was really inspiring. I also love the idea of being able to follow up and support my patients through their life stages, starting from puberty until menopause, and that would include pregnancy and childbirth.

What women’s care do you specialize in?

I am a general OBGYN, so I am here in the office seeing pregnant women or any woman with a gynecological problem. I am also in the hospital performing surgeries or taking care of patients in labor, and I think that’s the unique thing about my specialty. I am passionate about talking with my patients about birth control. I love to have thorough discussions with my patients to help them figure out and choose the best contraception methods for their lifestyles.

Who is the biggest influence on your life?

My dad had the greatest impact on my life. I cannot say particular things about what he did, but he always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and he always supported me every step of the way.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Pistachio ice cream is my favorite, though I love ice cream. I can try any new flavor, and I can eat any kind of ice cream.
