Mirvie Encompass Test for Predicting Preeclampsia, a Time Best Invention of 2025, Available through Select Mid-Atlantic Practices

Each year around the world, 500,000 fetal deaths occur due to preeclampsia, a condition that causes high blood pressure, endangering the mother as well. Previously, doctors had no way of identifying high-risk moms before they showed symptoms, but a new test called Encompass changes that. It’s the first diagnostic to use cell-free RNA in blood to predict complications four months in advance. In a 10,000-patient study published this spring, Encompass correctly identified 91% of women who would develop preterm preeclampsia. Launched in May, Encompass is now available through physician practices like Advantia Health and partnerships like WIN.
