Update from Drs. Albert and Cara Simmonds

To All of Our Patients,
For a combined 65 years, we have had the great fortune of practicing at Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht. Over these years, we have been grateful for the trust you have placed in us by choosing us as your physicians, and we thank you for that honor. The experience of being with you at the births of your children, helping guide your health through all the phases of life, and at times making scary episodes a little less so, has been deeply appreciated and respected. Together, we have witnessed many changes in medicine and have been privileged to care for generations of patients throughout those changes.
Now, it is time for another change. We have made the decision to retire from our practice. As you can imagine, this has not been an easy choice, but we both feel that this is the right time. We wanted to give you, our patients, ample time to adjust to this change and to plan for the continuity of your care.
We will continue our work at Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht until the end of February 2027, about six months from now. We look forward to last visits with many of you and to helping coordinate your ongoing care with our colleagues and the entire provider team at our practice, including Drs. Helmbrecht, Olson, Redhead, Hall, Peyton-Peterson, Sunyecz, Hernandez, Madan and Nagy, as well as our outstanding team of advanced practice providers, midwives, and staff. We are proud of the team working at our practice and have great confidence in their knowledge, experience, energy and judgment to provide all of you with excellent care moving forward.
We hope that life may give us the opportunity to meet again, but all of you should know that being your physicians has been a profound privilege for us. We are deeply grateful for the years you have entrusted your care to us and for allowing us to be part of so many important moments in your lives.
