Dr. Onyewuenyi grew up in Houston, TX. She completed her undergraduate education at the Johns Hopkins University where she graduated with honors in Public Health. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, and her Master’s in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Throughout her training, she has engaged in numerous global health activities across multiple continents with a focus on improving access to safe and comprehensive reproductive health care. Dr. Onyewuenyi completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
She is a fierce advocate for her community and believes that women of all backgrounds deserve access to high-quality patient-centered care. Her professional interests include general obstetrics and gynecology, global and community healthcare, and digital health solutions. In her spare time, Dr. Onyewuenyi enjoys dancing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants in the D.C area.

Dear Patients,
As I begin a new chapter in my career, I want to let you know that I will be leaving my position at Reiter, Hill & Johnson, with my final day of seeing patients being September 17, 2026. While I am excited for the next chapter of my career, saying goodbye to my patients is undoubtedly the most difficult part of this transition.
Caring for you and your families has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Whether I had the opportunity to care for you through routine gynecologic visits, pregnancy, surgery, or some of life’s most significant milestones, I am deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me. Being a part of your healthcare journey has been both an honor and a joy.
I have been continually inspired by the strength, warmth, and kindness of my patients. The relationships we have built throughout my time at RHJ have made this work incredibly meaningful. While this decision was not an easy one, I am excited for the next chapter in my professional journey. Please know that my commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care remains steadfast throughout my final day at the office, and into my future practice as well.
