Upasana Madan, MD

Upasana Madan, MD, completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School after earning her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS).

Dr. Madan is deeply committed to advancing women’s health through compassionate, patient-centered care and community advocacy. As a participant in the RWJMS Distinction in Service to the Community (DISC) program, she led community health initiatives focused on preventing intimate partner violence. Her recent research, published in the Universal Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, explored patients’ and providers’ perspectives on contraception access and online methods of obtaining access.

At every Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht location, Dr. Madan offers comprehensive women’s healthcare — from preventive care, targeted diagnostic care and management, to prenatal, postnatal, and labor and delivery management — as well as a full range of gynecologic procedures, including laparoscopic procedures.

Dr. Madan has a special interest in contraception, PCOS, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, high-risk pregnancy management, and preventive care.

She is passionate about creating a supportive healthcare environment where women feel valued, informed, and empowered throughout every stage of life.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
