Caryn Russman, DO, FACOG

Caryn Russman, DO, FACOG is a board-certified OBGYN with more than 10 years of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients throughout every stage of life. She earned her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and completed both her Osteopathic Internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Reading Health System in Reading, PA.

Dr. Russman joins Susquehanna OB/GYN & Nurse Midwifery after serving as a practicing physician and as an instructor for medical students and residents at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she helped train the next generation of OBGYN providers. Her teaching background has informed her approach to patient care. Dr. Russman believes patients deserve clear explanations and a true partner in their health care.

Dr. Russman is deeply committed to providing a safe, welcoming space for patients in the LGBTQIA+ community to receive comprehensive OBGYN care centered on each patient's individual needs. She has a particular passion for educating teens and young adults about their bodies, empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to advocate for their own health throughout their lives.

Her recent experience as a laborist has provided her with extensive expertise in managing patients throughout labor and delivery. She brings this experience to her practice, providing thoughtful and thorough care to patients through every stage of pregnancy and birth.

An advocate for whole-person wellness, Dr. Russman leads an active, healthy lifestyle and enjoys encouraging her patients to find sustainable, joyful ways to care for themselves, too.

Outside the office, Dr. Russman enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with her wife and two dogs.

Dr. Russman joins the Suquehanna OB/GYN & Nurse Midwifery Team in October.
