Alison "Ally" Kingcade, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) who completed her graduate nursing program at the University of Delaware School of Nursing and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Delaware State University.
Ally is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based reproductive healthcare, women's health services, sexual health education, and primary care. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health. She is particularly passionate about advocating for women and transgender patients, ensuring they receive equitable, affirming, and patient-centered care.
"I want to offer a caring spirit and an empathetic heart to every one of my patients. It's not only my passion—I truly believe it's my purpose."
Ally joined Advantia Health after serving three years with VCU Health's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her time at VCU, she was a member of the OB MOTIVATE Clinic, where she provided comprehensive care for women affected by substance use disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Prior to VCU Health, she spent four years providing reproductive healthcare at Planned Parenthood in Delaware and Virginia. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ally worked for more than seven years as a progressive care nurse at a Level I Trauma Center, caring for patients recovering from complex medical illnesses, surgery, and traumatic injuries.
Ally has experience caring for patients with abnormal uterine bleeding, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause, vaginal infections, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), urinary tract infections (UTIs), hypertensive disorders, and substance use disorders in pregnancy. She also enjoys educating patients about contraception, preventive care, sexual health, and wellness, recognizing that many women rely on their OBGYN provider as their primary source of healthcare.
"As a family nurse practitioner specializing in women's health, I value building lasting relationships with my patients and providing continuity of care. Patients often come to me during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives, and I never take the trust they place in me for granted. My goal is to ensure every patient feels listened to, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey."
Advice to patients: "Your health is your responsibility, so don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. And when you need someone in your corner, I'll be there to advocate with you."
Outside of work, Ally enjoys starting her mornings with exercise, attending Trap Cardio and Zumba classes, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact: she has an identical twin sister!
Ally joins the OBA team in September, and looks forward to serving our community at our Beltsville and Silver Spring locations.
