Kristen Carpenter (WHNP-BC)

Kristen Carpenter, a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC), received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University and her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Women’s Health, from Drexel University. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse prior to obtaining her WHNP-BC certification.

Kristen’s passion for women’s health began at a young age when she volunteered at her local hospital. Known for her warm, patient-centered approach, she is dedicated to educating and empowering women to make informed health decisions.

Throughout her career, Kristen has provided comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care, supporting average and high-risk pregnancies, helping to manage conditions such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, placental dysfunction, and preterm labor. In her gynecologic practice, she diagnoses and treats conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, PCOS, endometriosis, and menopausal symptoms, and counsels women on fertility planning, contraception, and reproductive health across every stage of life.

Kristen has an extensive history of living abroad—including time in India, Honduras, Paraguay, and Sri Lanka—with her husband and three children. She co-owned a prenatal education company, where she empowered and educated women internationally. Kristen gave birth to her children in Washington, D.C., India, and Honduras.

In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, going to the beach, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Kristen joins the Physicians & Midwives team in November, and looks forward to serving our community.
