Jim Pieri, as a Partner at BlueMountain, headed a dedicated Healthcare Investing strategy now under Assured Healthcare Partners (“AHP”). Mr. Pieri serves as the Chair of the Healthcare Investment Committee. Since joining BlueMountain in 2012, Mr. Pieri built and managed a portfolio of private investments across the capital structure in healthcare, financial services, and real asset related markets. Prior to joining AHP and BlueMountain, Mr. Pieri headed Principal Finance & Structuring businesses at J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, focusing his entire career on essential services and regulated industries. Mr. Pieri has served on the boards of several of BlueMountain’s healthcare investments, including National Partners in Health, Verity Health System, Regency Integrated Health Services, MedEquities Realty Trust, Capital Senior Ventures, Kindred Carve-Out JV, and Golden Living Carve-Out JV. Mr. Pieri holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University and a M.P.A. with a concentration in Economic Policy & Management from the School of International & Public Affairs at Columbia University.
