Q: Who is eligible to receive Advantia’s support during the government shutdown?
A: Advantia has and will continue to support anyone who suddenly becomes financially vulnerable. To the extent permitted by state and federal law or other contractual limitations, we will provide payment plans so that that allow anyone demonstrating short-term financial need the ability to repay their co-pay or deductible as soon as their financial crisis is resolved.
Q: Can co-pays or deductible be waived?
A: No. However, following state and federal law and any limitations by a particular payor, Advantia will work with patients demonstrating short-term financial need the ability to repay their co-pay or deductible as soon as their financial crisis is resolved.
Q: I am an existing Advantia patient. How can I learn more about my option to defer copays/deductibles and set up a payment plan?
A: If you are currently a patient within the Advantia practice, please reach out to your physician’s office directly and they will help you set up a plan.
Q: I am not currently an Advantia patient but as a furloughed worker, how can I learn more about becoming one and setting up a payment plan?
A: Please take a look at the practice page on Advantia’s website to locate the office most convenient for you.
Q: Are government contractors included in those who can request an extended payment plan?
Q: Will Advantia charge interest on these plans?
Q: Will Advantia continue to provide payment plans once the government shutdown ends?
A: Advantia is committed to easing the financial burden of the government furlough on our patients, both existing and new. Once the furlough ends and federal workers are once again receiving paychecks, we will discontinue this particular effort but will continue to work with any patients who demonstrate a need for additional assistance.
