Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day accounting function
  • Generating accurate and timely financial reports for both internal and external use
  • Coordination and management of audit, valuation and actuarial services
  • Coordination and timely filing of all state and federal tax returns
  • Coordination of annual budget and multi-year forecast processes
  • Financial planning and analysis for all aspects of the business
  • Treasury management

Essential Functions

  • Enhance and establish policies, procedures and controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets as well as ensure the accuracy of the Company’s financials
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports to staff members and the management team.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of General Ledger and its integration with accounts payable, billing and payroll at the corporate level as well as for the individual clinical and surgical practices.
  • Assist the Revenue Cycle Management team in managing the billing, coding and collections process.
  • Assist the CFO in ensuring proper accounting for acquisitions, mergers and consolidations
  • Ensure all account reconciliations are completed correctly each month
  • Ensure all audit schedules are prepared correctly and timely
  • Assist the CFO and the various business managers in the preparation of annual budget
  • Assist the CFO in the preparation of the monthly
  • Prepare or accumulate necessary data for tax return preparers
  • Oversee all tax audits
  • Assist the CFO in modeling short-term and long-term forecasts
  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of various ad hoc analyses to support business
  • Manage, coach and develop the finance and accounting staff, including payroll and accounts payable



  • 10+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector
  • 5+ years of experience working as a controller or assistant controller in the Healthcare services industry (clinical and/or surgery center operations is a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience managing accounting and administrative staff members
  • Experience with M&A transactions and Consolidation Accounting a plus

Education & Certification

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification required


  • Competency with Accounting Systems (preferably Intacct)
  • Strong technical expertise in GAAP accounting, controllership and treasury management
  • Competency with EMR and other medical technology systems and solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other business software as needed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications
  • Proficiency in financial planning and analysis
  • Organized, detailed oriented and diligent
  • Understands the ethical standards and confidentiality of a CPA
  • Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
  • Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
  • Task and goal oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting
